OUR SERVICE PROJECTS

LAP members donate to several charities throughout mid-Michigan. We donate non-perishable food items and other household products, quilts for raffles and for beds in area shelters. We make and donate placemats for Meals on Wheels, quilt tops and tote bags for Sadie’s Dream for a Cure and more than 250 doll quilts annually to the R J Scheffel Memorial Toy Project. We provide members with resources where needed to make items for our charitable works. Click on any link below for more information on these organizations.

MEALS ON WHEELS - Our Mission is to provide national leadership to end senior hunger.  On September 1, 2009, the Board of Directors approved a new vision for the Meals On Wheels Association of America: to end senior hunger by 2020.  In order to turn this 2020 vision into a reality, we have started a national movement to end senior hunger by 2020: Our goal is to recruit 6 million people who are willing to stand up and pledge to do what it takes to end senior hunger.  http://www.mowaa.org
