JUST SPOOLING AROUND
(Adapted from a Edyta Sitar block)
8.5 X 10.5 unfinished

Materials needed:
Spool thread - 12 one inch strips in chosen color (at least 6 in long)
Background - Four 1.5 squares,
Two 1.5 X 6.5 rectangles
Four 1.5 X 8.5 rectangles
Spool ends - Two 1.5 X 6.5 rectangles
 
Sew one inch strips together one on top of the other. Trim to a 4.5 X 6.5
rectangle.
If the height does not meet the 6.5 inches, add another one inch strip and trim to 4.5 X 6.5. Sew a 1.5 X 6.5 rectangle to each vertical side of
the thread body.
Mark the 1.5 inch squares with a diagonal line. Put the 1.5 inch squares onthe corners of the spool ends. Please note correct placement. Sew on thediagonal. Trim and press. Sew the spool ends onto the thread body. Sew the 1.5 X 8.5 border to the vertical sides first then add the horizontal
side.
