Apple Picking

October Block of the Month 2022
Apple Picking (Designed from a block on Quilt Space)
6.5 x 6.5 unfinished
 
Fabric needed
Apple - four assorted 2 3/4 x 3.5 rectangles and four 1.5 squares of BG fabric
 
Leaf and Stem
BG - one 2 x 3.5 rectangle and one 1 3/4 x 2 rectangle
Stem - one 3/4 x 2 rectangle
Leaf - one 2 x 2 square and two 1in squares of BG
All seams are 1/4 inch. Sew your four apple
rectangles together. In the side, four corners sew your 1.5 in squares on the diagonal in each corner. Note direction of diagonal line. Trim.
 

Sew your 1 in BG squares diagonally in the upper left and lower right corners of your leaf. Note direction of diagonal line. Trim.


Sew your 2 x 3.5 BG to your stem, sew leaf to stem and sew 1 3/4 x 2 BG rectangle to leaf.


Sew top section to apple section.

Looks good enough to eat.
